QuickQRC Cookie Policy
Last updated and effective: 16 October 2026
This page lists every cookie and browser-storage item that quickqrc.com uses, what each one is for and how long it lasts. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data in general. QuickQRC is run by Quick Espirt.
The short version
1. What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. A session cookie is deleted when you close the browser; a persistent cookie stays until its expiry date or until you delete it. First-party cookies are set by the site you are on (quickqrc.com); third-party cookies are set by another company whose content appears on the page.
Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) is similar, but its contents stay on your device: the browser does not send it to the website with each request. We use it for settings and history that only your browser needs.
2. Cookies QuickQRC sets
All of our own cookies are strictly necessary: they make sign-in work or protect it. Most only appear when you use a QuickQRC Pro account.
| Cookie | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
.QuickQRC.Pro.Auth |
Keeps you signed in to your Pro account | 14 days, renewed while you use the dashboard; removed when you sign out |
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* |
Checks that a form you submit really came from our site (protection against cross-site request forgery) | Session |
Identity.TwoFactorUserId |
Remembers which account is signing in while you enter a two-factor code | A few minutes, during sign-in |
Identity.External, .AspNetCore.Correlation.*, .AspNetCore.OpenIdConnect.Nonce.* |
Carry a "Sign in with Google, Microsoft or company SSO" request safely to the provider and back | Minutes, during sign-in only |
.AspNetCore.Mvc.CookieTempDataProvider |
Shows a one-time message, such as "Settings saved", after a page reloads | Session; deleted once the message is shown |
3. Browser storage on your device
These items are saved in your browser and read there. They are not sent to our servers.
| Key | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
theme |
Remembers light or dark mode | Until you clear it |
qr_generator_history |
Your last 10 codes in the free generator, so you can reopen them | Until you clear it |
quickqrc_scan_history |
Recent results from the online QR scanner | Until you clear it |
qr_mockup_handoff |
Passes the code you made to the mockup placer tool | Until you close the tab (sessionStorage) |
qr_tip_seen |
Stops a tip from showing again once you have closed it | Until you clear it |
dashSidebar |
Remembers whether the Pro dashboard sidebar is collapsed | Until you clear it |
| Menu page ratings | On hosted menu pages, remembers the dish ratings you gave on that device | Until you clear it |
On a shared computer, your generator and scanner history are visible to the next person using the same browser profile. Clear the site's data in your browser to remove them.
4. Third-party cookies
- Paddle (checkout). When you buy or manage a paid plan, Paddle's checkout runs on the page and may set cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention. They are covered by Paddle's privacy policy.
- Ad networks (Free-plan scan screen only). A scan of a dynamic code made on the free plan may show a short countdown screen with an advertisement. The ad network serving it may set or read its own cookies under its own policy. No other QuickQRC page carries ads, and codes on paid plans skip this screen.
- Sign-in providers. If you choose to sign in with Google, Microsoft or your company's identity provider, that provider's own cookies apply on its sign-in pages.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr. Our pages load fonts and two small scripts from these services. They set no cookies, but your browser connects to them directly, so they see your IP address.
5. What we do not use
- No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies of our own, and no tracking pixels on our pages.
- No analytics cookies. Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode set to "denied" and storage turned off, so it only sends anonymous, aggregate page-view counts.
- No cookies that follow you to other websites, and no selling of cookie data.
6. Scanning a QuickQRC code
Scanning a static code never touches QuickQRC, so it involves no cookies from us.
Scanning a dynamic code passes through our server and sets no cookie from us. We count scans without cookies and without storing the IP address, as described in the Privacy Policy. The only exception is the ad screen on Free-plan codes described above.
Pages built by code owners. A Pro user can add their own analytics or advertising tag, such as Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel, to their codes and hosted pages. Those tags may set cookies for that owner, under the owner's privacy policy. The owner is responsible for any notice or consent those tags require.
7. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies and browser storage that you ask for (like your theme or history) do not need consent under the EU ePrivacy rules and similar laws, so the site shows no cookie banner. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.
8. Managing cookies
You can see, block and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings:
Clearing site data for quickqrc.com also removes the browser-storage items above. If you block our own cookies, the free tools still work, but you will not be able to sign in to a Pro account.
Because we do not track you across sites, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off on our side. Ad networks on the Free-plan scan screen handle those signals under their own policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever we add, remove or change a cookie, and the date at the top shows the current version. If a change needs your consent, we will ask before the new cookie is used.
