Which form you get depends on how you type the ID: start with @ for an Official Account, and without it for a personal ID.

How do you make a LINE QR code?

LINE's developer documentation describes the Official Account format as https://line.me/R/ti/p/ followed by the percent-encoded ID, for example the @linedevelopers account. The ~ form is the one for individual IDs.
Should a business use a personal ID or an Official Account?
An Official Account is the better base for a shop or brand: it has a business profile, can be run by several staff, and does not tie customers to one person's private account. A personal ID on a public poster exposes an individual to unsolicited messages and disappears if that person leaves. If you are a business, use your Official Account's @ ID.
Why might the scan not find the account?
LINE's help pages describe settings that affect ID-based lookup. A personal user can turn off "Allow others to add me by ID", and in Japan, ID search is only available to users who have completed age verification through their mobile carrier. If a personal-ID code fails for one person and works for another, or the ID does not appear in search, check these settings first. Because this varies by account and region, test your own code with a second, unrelated LINE account before printing.
What happens if the scanner does not have LINE?
The link is an ordinary web address that leads to LINE's page rather than an error, and the scanner is offered the app. LINE has the largest audiences in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan, so a code is most useful there. For audiences elsewhere, add a phone number or another channel next to it.
Where does it work best?

How do you test it?
